Amy is the Principal Psychologist at Amy White Psychology. She is passionate about supporting both young people and adults to achieve their personal goals and improve their general well-being.
With over 20 years experience in both the public and private sector, Amy has a special interest in trauma, depression, anxiety and stress. She opened her private practice in Gympie in 2017 after moving from Brisbane with her husband and two children.
She has a compassionate and non-judgemental approach and uses evidence based interventions which are tailored to meet your individual needs. Amy has been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses mindfulness based practices in her treatment.
Amy is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of EMDR Association of Australia and is a master class level trained EMDR therapist.
